How Much Does It Cost to Study English in the Philippines for Two Weeks?

Two weeks of General English on Boracay, with a shared room in our student dorm, the registration fee and the Special Study Permit, costs $1,188 in 2026. Two weeks is long enough to settle in, find your rhythm and feel the difference, and short enough to fit into normal holiday leave. Here is the full budget, and a simple plan for your fortnight.

All prices are our current rates in US dollars and update automatically when our price list changes.

Why two weeks works better than one

In a one-week course, the first days go on arriving, meeting your teachers and getting used to the island. With two weeks, your second week is pure progress: you know your classmates, your teachers know your weak points, and you start using new English without thinking about it.

It also costs less per week. Compare the two prices for General English: one week costs $355, two weeks $616. The second week is much cheaper than the first, and the one-time fees are shared over twice as many days. See the one-week budget for the comparison.

1. Tuition for two weeks

General English is our most balanced course: five classes a day, with afternoons free for the island. If you need English for work or university soon, Intensive English gives you seven classes a day, including two one-to-one lessons.

German employees can also spend their two weeks on our Bildungsurlaub course, the only one in the Philippines accredited for educational leave: €590 in euros for two weeks.

2. Two weeks of accommodation

  • Student dorm, shared standard room: $242. Air-conditioned, with a private toilet and hot/cold shower, a 3-minute walk to school.
  • Student dorm, single standard room: $336.
  • Student dorm, deluxe room (maximum 2 people, with its own fridge): $364.
  • Home stay: shared room $535, single room $635. Breakfast every day, lunch at school and dinner on weekdays are included.
  • Paradise English Annex Hotel (3-star standard, pool, 1-minute walk to school): from $495.
  • 4-star resort: from $1,180.

If you are travelling as a couple or with a friend, the deluxe dorm room (maximum 2 people, with its own fridge) or the annex hotel with its pool work well. If you travel alone, a shared dorm room is the easiest way to make friends. Photos and details are on our accommodation page.

  • Local transport, a local SIM card and personal shopping.
  • Travel insurance: strongly recommended for any stay abroad.

Visa for two weeks

Many nationalities receive a free 29-day tourist visa on arrival, so a two-week course usually needs no extension, even with a few travel days before or after. Some nationalities need a visa before they travel, and rules can change, so always check the current rules for your passport.

A simple plan for your two weeks

Before you come. Take our free level test and tell us what you want from your stay: more confident speaking, business English, exam practice or simply using English on your travels.

Week 1: settle in. Arrive before your first class. Use your first one-to-one lessons to set clear goals with your teacher. Walk to White Beach for the sunset after class and get to know your classmates.

The weekend in between. This is your chance to see more of the island or go further. Past students have joined trips like the Naranjo and Malumpati day out or a trip to Tibiao in Antique. Every trip is more English practice.

Week 2: push. Now you know what to work on. Ask your teacher for more speaking time, take notes on new expressions, and use them in the evening. This is when new expressions start to come without translating in your head.

Is two weeks enough?

For a holiday with real classes, yes. You will speak more freely, understand more, and know what to practise at home. For a bigger jump, such as moving up a full level or preparing for an exam, plan four weeks or more: read what a month costs or, for exams, how many weeks to prepare for IELTS.
