Boracay White Beach Clean-up

Recently some of the Paradise English teachers and students joined the Nonie’s team for their monthly Beach clean up. Nonie’s is a great restaurant on the Island, which serves delicious nutritious food, and all their ingredients are locally sourced from the Philippines.
The best English School and the best healthy restaurant on Boracay make beach cleaner.

Early Start

Wow! What a great turn out we had. It was fantastic to see so many of the Paradise English gang enthusiastically there, to help make a difference at 7 am on a Saturday morning. We spent an hour walking along beautiful white beach picking up rubbish, it was surprising and sad to see how much we collected.

After the clean up we all met back at Nonie’s and enjoyed a well-deserved breakfast.

Help environment and yourself.

It was a wonderful way to begin the day, with such an early start we still had the entire day to relax and enjoy the Boracay sunshine. We have a feeling this will become a regular monthly event for Paradise English!

Can you make a difference?

Not all of us have time to go for beach clean-ups, therefore we thought we would share a few tips on how you can make a difference:

  • Stop using plastic straws! Did you know straws are one of the Top ten items found during beach clean-ups and they are also non-biodegradable?

  • Use reusable shopping bags, you can find some great colourful material shopping bags out there.

  • Avoid takeaway coffee cups! Did you know some coffee places offer a discount off your coffee if you take your own coffee mug?

  • Stop buying plastic water bottles! Buy a glass water bottle and reuse, not only are you helping the environment you will also save money. Many restaurants are happy to fill your water bottle up for you.

Lets make a difference! Hope to see you at the next beach clean up.
